Scientific visits are regularly conducted for plant documentation and research. Interestingly, different species were flowering and fruiting at different seasons throughout the year while certain species were seen heavily bloomed for the first time since the initiation of the IIUM Forest of ‘Ilm project. The information gathered through these scientific visits is shared in the IIUM Forest of ‘Ilm website’s plant database and with our visitors and students. The forest is also a collection site for plant samples used in scientific research by IIUM researchers. Certain species were also collected to be naturalised at the greenhouse, community garden and permaculture sites of the forest for teaching, learning and research activities.
