A tree up to 20 m tall, mostly in the lowlands, endemic to Peninsular Malaysia. It is threatened by habitat loss[2]

Leaf – trifoliolate, opposite, leaflets – coriaceous, pubescent, elliptic to obovate, acute, entire, acuminate[3]
Fruit – obovoid, velutinous exocarp[3]
