General information:
A medium-sized to large tree, up to 40 m tall with straight, cylindrical bole up to 70 cm in diameter and small buttresses. It is an endangered species threatened by habitat loss [1,3]
Distinguish botanical characteristics:
Leaf – Large and narrowly oblong [2]
Fruit – Nut globose, large, up to 30 mm long, surrounded by 2 longer and 3 shorter fruit calyx lobes, free to the base [3]
Heartwood – bole up to 3 m girth [2]

Wood – the timber is used as resak. The density of the wood is 710-975 kg/m3 at 15% moisture content [3]
