General information:
Myristica iners is an evergreen tree growing 5 – 40 metres tall with a bole up to 59cm in diameter. The tree sometimes has stilt roots and/or buttresses.
The wood is used locally to scent and fumigate cloth. The plant is classified as ‘Least Concern’ in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species[2].
