General information:

Mid-canopy tree up to 35 m tall and 53 cm dbh. Stipules absent. Leaves alternate, simple, penni-veined, glabrous, whitish below. Flowers ca. 8 mm diameter, yellow, placed in racemes. Fruits ca. 10 mm long, red?, fleshy drupes placed on enlarge flower base (cupule).

Ecology In undisturbed mixed dipterocarp and keranga forests up to 100 m altitude. Mostly on ridges with sandy soils. In secondary forests usually present as a pre-disturbance remnant tree.

Distribution Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo (Sarawak, Brunei, Sabah, East-Kalimantan)[2]
